Sorry! another student in need of help from the experts of Brand republic!

    Hi Everyone,

I'm currently in the process of pieceing together a research project for my final year as a Advertising student.

The Subject im looking at, although quite vague at this early stage is Consumer Online experience versus In-store Experience, and how e-commerce brands can use Emotion online as a technique to compete with stores and create customer loyalty to their online brands.

I was just wondering what everybodies thoughts were on this and who they consider to bethe current brands that are failing to offer more to the consumer other than just an online catalogue to just drive sales.

Any help or thoughts will be appreciated!

    Thanks

    Ricky

     Hi Ricky

Well I ain't an expert at BR, but an Advertising masters student.

The only brand that sprung to mind almost immediately which has to its credit of integrating a fantastic user experience is Nike. Check out its website and you will find much more to do there than just browse for shoes n clothes. I esply love the the Nike Training Club. It's offerings like this which help convert early adopters into loyalists of the brand.

Also the apple itunes store...it has more to offer than your regular HMV. There is one strong reason- it engages with the audience in a manner they want to be engaged with; that's key for any brands to find success.

    Hope this helped!

    Cheers-Bhavna

Thanks Bhavna! A lot of my pre reading has also mentioned Nike as innovators on this topic. The more I read into it, it seems companies are now using the internet as a method to involve the consumer and effectively use them as advertising tools through forums, blogs etc!!

Guess theres lots of avenues I can go down with this! Thanks for your help Bhavna!
