from February, eBay will abandon TV and all above-the-line media. It will therefore no longer need a retained media agency. Digital media buying is handled in-house at eBay.

Well, it is a brave decision and seems to make sense. Ecommerce runs on both ATL and BTL (across offline and online channels) activities but with a brand like Ebay the in house team can actually restrict themselves to BTL activities and attract increased conversions/numbers.
